Brief Description of Activities Performed

The three Employment Exchange located at the three sub division of this district function under the supervision o the Joint Director of Employment, Suri Birbhum.. The Employment Exchanged do the citizen centric works like registration of particular of the job seekers of the district, renewal of registration, etc. They engage themselves In carious vocational Guidance activities like holding o career talks ,career conference etc, do the job of Employment Market Information (EMI) through maintaining liason with employers and submit Employment Statistic (ES) returns to the Director of Employment and the Director General of Employment an Training , New Delhi. The registered candidates may apply through filling up SD-1 FORMS under Skill Development Scheme for up gradation of their skills. The officers of the concerned exchanges certify this forms and advise the concerned skill providers to admit the willing candidates for betterment of their skill in the respective subjects. The employment exchanges provide 50% subsidy of the course fee or Rs. 5000/- which ever is less under this scheme. The candidates may also appear in Mock Test (For preparing themselves for competitive examinations) conducted by the Exchanges and the successful candidates may obtains special training conducted by the outside agencies. The registered candidates may also opt for loan under Udiyaman Swanirbhar Karmasthan Prakajpa (USKP) by filling of an application (Annex -1). These candidates get registered in employment exchange under USKP and their loan proposals are screened by Committee formed by the Govt. and the successful candidates loan proposal are sent to banks for sanction and disbursement. Besides, if vacancies are notified by the employers to Employment Exchanges they, process the notifications and submit particulars of candidates to the employers for absorption.
